Job Description Summary
The Development and Succession Project Manager will work with leadership across project delivery in the Advanced Nuclear business to ensure skill development is aligned with platform delivery goals. This PM will review training plans and long-term strategy to ensure the necessary skills are available to meet long term strategic goals. This PM will work with the leadership team to perform periodic skills assessments, develop training plans to close identified gaps, and monitor team performance to ensure training goals are met.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Define and deploy relevant training curriculum to expand Project Management and Project Controls knowledge.
- Collaborate with senior management to identify critical future roles within the Project Management Organization and develop short and long terms succession plans to fill those roles with internal candidates.
- Track the progress of employee development and succession plans, providing regular feedback to employees and leadership, and making adjustments as needed.
- Monitor employee skill development through assessments and performance metrics to measure the impact of training programs.
- Operates within a highly matrixed environment, and understands how this role integrates with other key roles on the team, such as the Process and Tools lead and Program Assurance Director.
- Identify opportunities to optimize project management practice and improve efficiency.
- Ensures project management standards and practices are followed in accordance with business policies.
- Contributes towards strategy and policy development.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to foster collaboration and support for succession planning initiatives.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college (or equivalent).
- At least 7 years of relevant work experience (nuclear industry engineering/operations experience, project management, risk management, construction management, contracts management or equivalent).
- At least 5 years of project management or project controls experience.
Eligibility Requirements
- The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered.
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

The base pay range for this position is $128K - $170K. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 2/7/25.
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
