Job Description Summary

The Control Systems Engineer supports the design and implementation of HVDC Control Systems by analysing customer requirements, assessing the necessary deviation from standard solutions, modelling the proposed HVDC control system, providing requirements for the hardware and software teams to implement and validating the resulting system through DPS and protection coordination studies.

The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated and dynamic team of engineers working on the development of control system for VSC HVDC links. This role will be located in Japan and will act as an interface to the customer, suppliers and consortium partners.

役割と責任 / Roles and Responsibilities

  • カスタマーインタフェース・プロジェクトエンジニアリング・マネージャーおよびプロジェクトエンジニアリング・ディレクターと連携し業務を遂行
  • Working in collaboration with Customer Interface Project Engineering Manager and Project Engineering Director.


  • ソフトウェア・アーキテクチャ、開発およびテストチームからの制御システム要件を理解
  • Understand control system requirements from the software architecture, development and testing teams.


  • 制御システムおよびソフトウェアの動作に関連する顧客からの技術的な問い合わせの管理を行う
  • Manage technical queries from client in relation with control system & software activities.


  • 顧客とプロジェクト・プラットフォームに関するFST(工場システム試験)およびFAT(工場立会試験)プログラムへの参加
  • Participate in FST and FAT programs on project platforms with client.


  • 国内・海外出張に対応できること。
  • Willing to travel in Japan and overseas.

求められる素養/ Desired Characteristics

  • ビジネス英語コミュニケーション能力必須
  • Business English communication skills required.


  • チームワーク重視、プロジェクトチームのメンバーとして仕事ができること。

  • 電力システムの制御や保護、シーケンス指針の仕様書に関する知識があると望ましい
  • Knowledge in Power system Control, protection and sequencing strategy specifications is preferred.


  • 電力系統システムや送電系統システム解析、パワーエレクトロニクスの知識があると望ましい。
  • Knowledge in Power system network, electrical grid system studies and power electronics is preferred.


  • 電力システムやパワーエレクトロニクスを含む工学に関する学位もしくは同等なもの有する、あるいはHVDCビジネスで同等の知識や経験があることが望ましい。
  • Engineering degree or equivalent including power systems and power electronics subjects or proven equivalent knowledge and experience in HVDC business is preferred.


  • 電力システムの機能的特性やAC系統とHVDCシステムの間の相互作用を理解していることが望ましい。
  • Understanding of functional characteristics of power systems and interactions between AC and HVDC systems is preferred.


  • 日本の系統連系規程の知識があると望ましい。
  • Knowledge of Japanese grid code is preferred.
