Creative Designer
The Creative Designer under the direction of the Grid Automation Marketing Leader will work closely with product marketing, product management, broader stakeholders within the business line to build and uphold Grid Automation's strong visual brand through product design, digital and print production.
This is a critical role as we embark re-branding of all our products, equipment, software interfaces, apps, collateral, and more to the new GE Vernova brand
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Marketing and Creative Effort
- Support all areas of design from project execution to completion
- Develop graphic design artwork including, but not limited to reports, whitepapers, eBooks, collateral, presentations, infographics, advertisements, events and translate them across multiple on-screen mediums such as print, digital, website, e-mail, and social media.
- Support the product design teams with providing a modern look & feel for any new product introductions
- Lead the re-branding efforts to provide guidance on best use of the GE Vernova brand on product face plate, software interfaces, related collateral, site re-branding and more
- Conduct design research to provide insight on industry trends in support of GE Vernova Grid Automation's brand.
- Develop and edit complex presentations as part of executive support.
- Create images for all emails including event promotion emails, webinar invitations and product update announcements.
- Contribute to the creative aspect of the marketing initiatives that are integral to the company.

Website and Social Media
- Produce and manage creative assets for the website and social media that help draw readers in and encourage engagement.
- Assist with design for website redesign.
Video Creation & App Development
- Lead the creation of animated explanatory videos for solutions supported by SMEs
- Edit videos of virtual event recordings to support the event team.
- Create unique sizzle reels for case studies and reports.
- Create apps for each new offering with the product exploration goal within AppDash
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience with a degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
- Proficient with Adobe CS products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma, Adobe XD
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and/or Premiere Pro creating animated and non-animated videos
- Strong understanding of design rules and principles
- Strong eye for detail, aesthetic, and typographic sense
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Self-starter who takes initiative to propose new ideas and projects
- Passionate about visual problem solving and graphic design
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Use effective time management and organizational skills to maintain workflows and meet deadlines.
- Follow projects from concept to final approval working with team members from multiple departments.
- Knowledge of print production a plus
