Corporate legal entity tax restructuring for GEV's three business segments (Power, Wind and Electrification) including supply chain optimization. Deep domestic and cross-border Subchapter C and general U.S. International tax experience. High visibility position providing the candidate with the opportunity to collaborate on a cross functional basis with Business Operations, Treasury, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Supply Chain and Procurement.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, design and implement tax restructuring and entity simplification strategies.
- Collaborate with and support key business partners (including foreign tax leaders) in achieving critical restructuring milestones, optimizing tax outcomes and mitigating tax risks.
- Analyze and coordinate U.S. and foreign income tax consequences associated with restructuring and entity simplification plans.
- Research tax issues and prepare tax technical memorandum and documentation.
- Partner effectively with Tax Reporting and Compliance teams to account for the tax impact associated with restructuring and entity simplification, including tax reporting, filings, and disclosures requirements.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations affecting restructuring transactions and advise on potential impacts to the company.
- Work with broader Tax Organization on strategic initiatives and special projects, as needed.

Qualification Requirements
- MST, J.D. or LLM with 12+ years in a tax function at a large multinational corporation or public accounting/law firms.
- Expertise in cross-border Subchapter C tax rules, with extensive prior M&A tax advisory experience required.
- Strong technical tax skills in U.S. federal and international tax laws as they relate to transactional tax matters. Knowledge of U.S. consolidated income tax return or Subchapter K rules a plus.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to communicate succinctly (written and verbal) to non-tax business partners and executive leadership.
- Organized self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet targeted deadlines.
