As member of the Core Services Generator team, you will be an active contributor to lead and develop a multi-disciplinary engineering team aligned to the region mission and culture across the Nuclear, Fossil, and Industrial segments. This role will require you to ensure compliance with safety and design standards, quality requirements and be on target with fulfilling program objectives, schedules, and costs.
Job Description
Your Role:
- Build and lead a dedicated local team, aligned to region mission and culture.
- Develop the team and individuals in technical skills, in personal skills, and in culture enabling them to deliver with urgency, to cost & quality, without compromising Safety.
- Agree priorities together with the regional leaders.
- Measure, monitor and continually improve service ITR engineering for region.
- Collaborate effectively with partner organizations, including Core Service ITR Global Engineering teams, Field Service teams for outage services, Rotating Equipment Parts Management for parts delivery, Product Service for operational support, On Site Services (OSS) and Repairs as well as Sourcing and Quality
- Maintain generator unit records and configuration.
- Plan the resources against the load, and place timely demand on global teams.
- Highlight NPI development needs to Rotating Equipment Product Management.
- Member of both the Core Service ITR Engineering Management Team, and an advocate for management initiatives.
- Coach and Mentor for engineers inside and outside his/her team.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related discipline, from an accredit college or university, or 7+ years of experience in Operations/Services
- Experience of generator manufacturing and repair processes, including overhauls and refurbishment, rewinding activities, insulation technologies and associated measurements.
- Knowledge and experience of synchronous generator design and construction

- Has contributed to the solving of technical challenges e.g. on site execution or workshop processes
- Strong Customer Service Mindset with focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
- Knowledge in measurement tools and equipment
- Knowledge in both legacy Alstom and GE technology
- Willingness to travel to key customer sites for supporting planning and execution of outages and repairs.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) System e.g. RPDM (VPDM)
If contracted in the US:
The salary range for this position is 131.700,00 to 175.500,00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15% performance bonus.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
