As the Commercial Operation Specialist (Com Ops) Specialist, you will be part of Regional Commercial Operations team and would be responsible for supporting the bid team in North South Region:

(i) During clause by clause review of contract terms & conditions,
(ii) In building agreement with Consortium partners,
(iii) Engage in complex negotiations with customers and partners,
(iv) Supporting in deal reviews.

Support bid team in the Northern & Southern Europe Region:

  • During clause-by-clause review of sales terms and conditions.
  • Along with legal and contract management teams.
  • Review of Consortium agreements and participate in meeting with partners, along with other stake holders.

Together with Regional Commercial Operations Leader:

  • Provides transactional deal support through the risk tollgate process (internal deal reviews) to comply with the deal governance of the business e.g., by helping with recording & circulation of minutes of meetings, risk-screening, preparation for toll gate reviews, commercial risk assessments & development of mitigation plans, recording approvals, etc.
  • Interact with bid team in advance of any such review and decision meetings to ensure smooth operations, proper usage of deal risk templates and related documentation to enable faster decision making and ultimately support higher win rates.
  • Leads opportunities for improvement of processes and tools such as optimised operating rhythms, structures, etc. to make the Regional Commercial Operations organisation more efficient and effective.
  • Takes corrective action, based on LEAN tools, win-loss analysis & customer feedback, to support word-class offer quality.
  • Monitors and takes corrective actions for pending commercial risk decisions by utilising / developing respective dashboards, follow-up with approvers to ensure timely decisions, and improvement action.
  • Interfaces with all functions such as Sales, Tendering, Legal, Finance & Operations, and also with other businesses of Grid Solutions to optimise sales solutions.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Tendering / Proposals/ Contracts / Project management background, with advanced and demonstrated years of experience in turnkey environment.
  • Have global view of Turnkey substation business, with basic understanding of exposure to project risks and their mitigation methodology using commercial terms and conditions.
  • Exposure to NEC, FIDIC and other standard contract models.
  • Exposure to at least 2 major contracts in UK, reviewing and proposing commercial terms in best interest of the company.
  • Significant knowledge of EPC Consortia & subcontract terms.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.
