What impact you'll make

As a member of the GE Vernova Gas Power Services Commercial Operations team, you will actively contribute to managing and coordinating all aspects of the Inquiry to Order (ITO) phase in proposal management. This includes proposal development, risk management and mitigation, specification compliance, scope development, pricing, and issue resolution for proposals you will oversee.

Job Description

What you'll do

  • Provide full proposal support from initial inquiry to deal closure and handover, tracking key dates and managing stakeholders and proposal submission deadlines.
  • Run an efficient, consistent, and compliant Policy 5.0 Risk Management process, starting from deal screening (R0) to resource allocation (R1), deal reviews (R2), and contract handover (R3) to execution team.
  • Perform initial risk evaluations to determine feasibility and address bid compliance concerns.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to complete the technical and commercial aspects of the proposal development phase, including sales, finance, execution, risk, legal, and engineering.
  • Ensure that the Risk Checklist and Delegation of Authority (DOA) are reviewed and completed for all proposals.
  • Review, respond to, and negotiate terms and conditions (T&C's) effectively.
  • Conduct formal R2 meetings to obtain pricing and contract deviation approvals at both regional and HQ levels.
  • Generate the final proposal incorporating approved deviations and language as required.
  • Manage all deal-related documentation prior to handover to the execution team.

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Exhibit influencing skills when engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Show understanding of contract terms and conditions, along with customer negotiation experience.
  • Collaborate effectively, staying organized with a positive, and energetic attitude.
  • To be based on Japan.

  • You are someone who embrace a voracious learning attitude with a growth mindset.
  • You understand customer financial drivers and needs in the power generation industry.
  • You have experience in closing large and complex agreements or executing complex projects.

Additional Notes:

  • This is a hybrid role that involves working remotely on some days and in the office on others, as agreed upon with the team leader.
