As a member of the of the Gas Turbine Engineering organization of GE Gas Power, specifically a member of the Combustion Design module, you will be an active contributor to the advanced modeling, CFD simulation and methods development activities. You will perform high-end combustion CFD simulations with LES to model aerothermal performance parameters of the combustion system. You will collaborate with design engineers in supporting engine programs while ensuring that the hardware configuration meets all operability, emissions, and durability requirements.

Job Description
What you'll do
- Use simulation to conduct combustion CFD analysis to predict combustor performance parameters.
- Solve combustor design and analysis problems using pre-processing and CFD tools.
- Assist in design decisions and root cause analysis by leveraging predictive analysis simulations
- Execute the analysis or evaluation projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to engineering practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Document work clearly and effectively present your work (including assumptions, status, and results) in formal and informal reviews.
- Develop best practices and templates to be communicated with the global GE Vernova Combustion community.
- Support and comply with GE Vernova's ordered high-level priorities: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
What you'll bring
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in a practical application
- CFD and combustion modeling experience
- Expertise in modeling reacting flows with LES

- You hold a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering discipline
- You have a passion for gas turbine combustion
- You have experience leveraging LES with commercial codes such as Ansys Fluent or Cadence CharLES.
- You are someone who brings innovative mindset, is a team player, and has excellent presentation and communication skills.
The base pay range for this position is 98,400.00 - 164,000.00 USD Annual . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% bonus.
