Job Description

Overview:

The CIC Commercial Leader is a key figure in driving the strategic growth of the Critical Infrastructure Communications (CIC) product line. Reporting to the Product Line Leader, this role partners with regional sales teams to drive business development, grow strategic accounts, and maximize opportunities across the CIC portfolio. As the primary CIC product line representative across all regions, the Commercial Leader will provide expert product knowledge, mentorship, and strategic guidance to ensure alignment with global sales strategies and support initiatives such as Channel Partner, OEM, and GE2GE activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help drive CIC business performance in the regions in line with annual operating plans.
  • Serve as a CIC business development mentor and coach to regional sales teams, helping them understand the CIC product portfolio and develop strategies to penetrate new markets, segments, and applications.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to effectively inform CIC product line and regional strategies.
  • Drive the adoption of CIC solution selling across sales and channel partner teams. Work with stakeholders to refine and enhance marketing tools/collaterals as needed for specific regional opportunities.
  • Support the execution of CIC Channel Partner strategies in collaboration with regional sales teams and GS Channels.
  • Support GE2GE initiatives across all regions, working closely with regional sales teams and product line leadership to maximize internal synergies and opportunities.
  • Identify commercial growth gaps, such as potential customers, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies, and work with the product and sales teams to address them.
  • Participate in key account reviews and opportunity assessments, contributing to the development of compelling bid strategies that increase win rates.
  • Lead annual CIC Strategy Sessions and represent the CIC product line at internal regional meetings, customer engagements, trade shows, and other relevant events.
  • Collaborate with the PL team to ensure that delivery models, support processes, and resources are aligned with business goals for customer satisfaction and growth.

Required Qualifications / Characteristics:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in customer service, sales, commercial, or product management within an engineering business selling technical solutions to the electrical power industry.
  • Degree requirement may be reduced for candidates with 15 years or more of proven experience in a customer-facing role, specifically within the Telecom and/or Energy sector.
  • Strong technical understanding of communication networks, industrial automation, or telecom solutions in the power industry.
  • Proven ability to clearly articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences, including customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing and delivering technical presentations, proposals, and business cases that align customer needs with product capabilities.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, as required
