Job Description Summary

GE Vernova is committed to helping the world achieve its decarbonization goals. The Carbon Solutions team is focused on leveraging the greatest strengths of GE Vernova in combination with key strategic partnerships across multiple industries to provide the world "wing to wing" pathways to meet their decarbonization goals. The team will enable the latest global learnings, actively engage governments in advocacy & education, and work collaboratively to demonstrate significant progress in the Energy Transition. GE is providing an internship opportunity to work cross-functionally across the GE Vernova Gas Power business to sharpen it's understanding of the market dynamics associated with the Energy Transition as well as, providing an academic assessment of the effectiveness of various government policies to enable and drive the Energy Transition. The deliverable from this internship would be an assessment of the various Energy Transition solutions and what polices are hindering or enabling these solutions to move forward.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Update existing financial models to reflect the latest market conditions for various clean energy solutions
  • Conduct an assessment of the various government policies that are being applied in GE Vernova's target countries and provide a data driven assessment of their effectiveness
  • Provide a set of advocacy recommendations for GE Vernova's targeted countries to enable future business growth, as well as enable countries to meet their decarbonization goals
  • Works collaboratively across Gas Power to drive a common understanding of the Energy Transition market and impactful government policies
  • Enables global learning and academic development in decarbonization technologies by sharing and democratizing information
  • Provide an analysis of the role of infrastructure and what would need to be true to accelerate the Energy Transition
  • Identifies, recruits, and develops the essential skill sets required for execution success

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Bachelors Degree in a technical field of study in Mechanical Engineering
  • Working towards a Master's in Business Administration
  • Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process
  • Must be able to develop and maintain good customer relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to work with complex data sets and models and drive to clear, concise outcomes
  • Team Worker with strong interpersonal and leadership skills, positive attitude and target oriented
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills in English
  • Experience working in a global environment
  • Innovative, open minded and assertive
  • Strong analytical, organizational skills

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
