The AERO Lean & Business Operations Leader shapes the continuous improvement vision across the organization, in accordance with GEV Lean strategy, and translates the vision into goals, objectives and strategies resulting in cross-functional transformation which delivers consistent, year-over-year results.
Works with Manufacturing and Sourcing Leadership teams to devise and implement Lean strategy and methodology for Aero Equipment and Services.
Works with senior leaders to assess current baseline for main S-Q-D-C processes, and determine the framework / roadmap to improve using the Lean methodologies. Supports set up and continuously pulse the strategy and business operations to further build standard global and regional processes + governance systems to ensure all regional operations perform in a consistent and best-in-class manner.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Be an active member of the Aero Leadership Staff, acting as a Lean advocate and coach while being intimately involved with operational activities, rhythm and KPIs
  • Supports the set up and continuously pulse the strategy and business operations to further build standard global and regional processes + governance systems to ensure all regional operations perform in a consistent and best-in-class manner
  • Ensure adherence to the Aero priorities and help drive the Monthly Operating Reviews and Problem solving.
  • Be and active member of the GP Lean Organization to deploy common tools and support the Lean enterprise.
  • Revisit all ITR processes (Commercial, Transfer, Execution, Warranty /closeout) with the lens of Lean, generating process efficiencies with impact on OTD/TAT (On time delivery/Turn around time), cash (inventory, AP) cost, and quality.
  • Partner with Aero Operating leadership building a strong operating rhythm, and clear outcomes for each vertical
  • Partner with the JV leadership team to ensure consistent execution on delivery and cost
  • On selected initiatives, lead deployment of the full Lean toolbox. Hoshin, VSM, PSR, Standard Work, Kaizen events driving process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with senior leaders to assess current baselines and determine the framework processes to be improved using the Lean methodologies
  • Support simplification of the complex processes and manage cross-functional relationships to support business impact
  • Provide key output data, metrics and presentations for reporting, operations reviews and business communications
  • Share best practices and act as a conduit to accelerate cross business progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • 10+ years of overall experience in operations and with proven track record of achieving operational results using Lean methodologies.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Additional cross-functional leadership experience in the areas of Finance, Project Management, Engineering and/or Quality are a plus
  • Experience and demonstrable results using lean methodologies in transactional processes
  • Demonstratable influencing and problem-solving abilities; high Say-Do ratio
  • Proven change driver with focus on executing efficiently in a complex, diverse, and dynamic cross-functional global team
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Experience working in a global environment

The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $350,000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's geographic location, experience, education, skill set, and work location. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation and equity. Benefits include health and additional benefits. This posting is expected to expire on April 7, 2025.
