Job Description
We are looking for a APQP & Quality Assurance Project Lead to take a holistic approach to quality across three key sites. In this role you will be driving quality assurance and continuous improvement at a project level, making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure that APQP principles are fully embedded in key projects whilst maintaining quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee and coordinate APQP and quality assurance efforts across multiple locations, ensuring consistency and best practices in every phase of the project.
- Point of escalation for quality planning, control plans, and audits, making sure all sites are aligned and compliant with ISO9001, AQAP2110, and other key standards.
- Identify root causes of quality issues, implement long-term fixes, and promote continuous improvement tools including Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke, and Measurement System Analysis.
- Work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure expectations are met (or exceeded) and that quality is built into the project from day one.
- Lead quality audits, oversee risk assessments (DFMEA/PFMEA), and ensure every stage of APQP is followed correctly, from planning through to final approval.
- Support gate reviews and process validation, making sure all products meet the highest standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong experience with APQP, PPAP, and FMEA and experience implementing these processes across multiple sites.
- A solid background in quality systems, auditing, and problem-solving tools, with a good grasp of Lean Manufacturing, VSM, and Gauge R&R.
- An ability to think strategically and manage projects from a quality perspective, keeping multiple teams and sites moving in the right direction.
- Confidence in reading engineering electrical and mechanical drawings and working with manufacturing processes.
- Experience with NATO standards (AQAP2105/2110) and quality management systems.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong communication and leadership skills.
- Sole British citizenship with a valid British passport ("UK Eyes Only") and the ability to obtain SC level security clearance.
