Job Description Summary

This role would be a leadership role responsible for Sourcing and Supply chain for the product , projects and NPI Materials requirements of Internal customers like Manufacturing, Engineering and Project management functions. Responsible for the Materials management in GE Vernova Way and interact with global stake holders to achieve the common company goals. Have strong knowledge of Inventory control and cash flow for the business and drive the strategic decisions throughout the process in compliance way and this includes strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier quality, warehouse, customs and logistics for the factory and projects buy. The sub regions that will form the responsibility for this leader include India, ASEAN, North Asia, China and ANZ.

  • Ensure strategic alignment to the business priorities, ensure sourcing excellence, organization, tools and processes and policies fit for business growth and are followed by the team.
  • Provide oversight to large & potentially global suppliers across PCS including Business Process Outsourcing. Ensure Business Process Outsourcing compliance with SLAs and act as the primary point of contact on all service level issues and resolution.
  • Should make sure of all the GEV Initiatives and functional objectives and communities like SRG, Process tools, CBAM, PFAS, EU sanctions, Carbon Emissions initiatives all deployed with suppliers.
  • Should drive supplier quality, strategic sourcing, Customs regulations and compliance and logistics excellence with a commodity split organization supporting individual and collective performance.
  • Should have track record on following tools, processes, commodity skills, Supplier management and performance evaluation and drive the initiatives and kaizen workouts for the improvements to support the competitiveness and business margin improvements.
  • To mentor, coach and train the team for in depth expertise to ensure to be a good team player to achieve the goals discipline or field. Serves as best practice/quality resource.
  • Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Develop strategies and execute project plans as per the market requirement and have strong negotiation skills and knowledge of should costing for the margin expansion and generate savings to the business.
  • Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the senior management team of any possible obstacles to ideal efficiency.
  • Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks
  • Work closely with Supplier Quality team to ensure consistent improvement of vendor SQDC performance
  • Drive direct team to ensure suppliers and planning the material schedule and bring on time to the NPI schedule.
  • Work as a team with internal customers and satisfy the needs for the production and on time delivery.
  • Identify the training needs for the team and develop the next level skills to have stronger team for the business.
  • Have good decision making skills during the issues and have high problem solving skills with different methodology.
  • Having good Lean concepts to drive the simple and efficient process for the business and have greater results.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Proven track record of performance and related accomplishments
  • Working knowledge of SAP proficiency
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a matrix environment
  • Experience leading groups/people and influence at all levels of the organization
