Job Description Summary

The Commodity Site Leader (CSL) will strategically develop and manage an Asia-Pacific (APAC) supply chain of crane vendors to support the MCU operations and installation. Objectives include driving commercial advantage through achievement of safety, quality, cost, usage, and delivery goals. CSL will partner with the crane operations team to create processes and contracts aimed at meeting these objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive cost out projects and negotiations with crane suppliers and cross functional teams targeted at achieving annual cost goals.
  • Manage supplier contracts, service agreements and terms and conditions with preferred suppliers to ensure that market trends, supplier performance, and future business needs are aligned.
  • Develop and execute long term regional commodity strategies for a diverse group of suppliers, with varying levels of complexity.
  • Collaborate with global supporting resources (services, engineering, product line, quality, supply chain, and regional teams) to achieve schedule and ensure adequate cycle time to meet timelines.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of new suppliers, development of existing suppliers, and overall supplier management.
  • Define and drive use of preferred suppliers plus develop alternate sources.
  • Interact with site teams to understand business needs and develop supply chain strategies that optimize total requirements.
  • Develop technical and market expertise in commodity areas.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Sourcing & Supplier Quality Assurance. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
