Aero Repairs Project Manager

Job Description Summary

The Aero Repairs and Exchanges Project Manager is responsible for Aero shop repairs, module exchanges, and exchange/spare engines. The primary responsibilities are on time project delivery and profitability. This role directly interacts with Regional Sales and the Aero Alliance. Process ownership is from handoff from the Aero Regional team to the delivery and billing of the customer engine or exchange/spare. This role will concurrently manage several repairs and exchanges. Lastly, this role will interact with the Aero Business Line leadership including Finance, Sales, Productivity, and Quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensuring at Handoff from Regional Sales a clear understanding of as sold scope, budget, shipping and billing requirements
• Leading all interactions and decisions with the Aero Alliance
• Risk Identification and Mitigation to schedule and budget
• Manage Shipping process
• Ensure costing validation and inputs to the billing process

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University, preferably in a technical or business degree or a HS Diploma with minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in Aeroderivative repairs
• Minimum of 3 years experience with Aeroderivative repairs and exchanges or equivalent

• Demonstrated project management skills and passion for Project Management.
• Skilled at leading and influencing cross functional team members in a matrix organization.
• Skilled Communicator; professional and tactful in oral and written communications with multiple GE functions/levels and with the Customer; applies good judgment on frequency and detail of communication.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to set realistic objectives, accurately appraise situations, detect risks and issues, and collaborate with GE internal teams and customer to find win-win solutions.
• Embraces and demonstrates sensitivity to culture of customer and internal team members.
• Experience interpreting or applying Contract terms & conditions and binding agreements.
• Understanding of GE financial processes, revenue recognition, costs, margin, and quarterly forecasting.
• Direct customer-facing experience.
