Job Description Summary

The Product Services Engineering Leader (PSEL) will lead a global organization comprised of teams of service engineers responsible for resolving technical issues for GE Vernova's aeroderivative gas turbine installed base. This pivotal role within the Aero Services Engineering organization is focused on leading the timely, efficient, and high-quality resolution of customer technical issues that are associated with gas turbine and respective support equipment. The PSEL will lead the regional organizations of Product Service Engineers, Quick Response Center (QRC), and Installation & Commissioning (I&C) technical support activities, driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

The Aero Product Services Engineering Leader will:

  • Customer Issue Resolution: Provide Strategic leadership to enable the QRC and regional PSE teams to effectively drive customer issue resolution prioritizing Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Operational Excellence: Own the operating rhythm (standard work) for PSE regional teams while promoting a culture of total quality and lean mindset.
  • Safety Culture: Promote and maintain a culture of safety within the team, ensuring all activities comply with safety standards.
  • Talent Management: Own the global PSE team's succession planning and performance reviews. Attract, retain, and develop technical talent, with a focus on enhancing aeroderivative technical expertise within the team.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Commercial, Product line and field Services teams during urgent situations, such as customer forced outages, to ensure optimal technical disposition and support.
  • Team Operational Performance: Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop plans to drive continuous improvements (e.g., KPIs are issue response cycle time, technical response quality, first fire gas turbine I&C success, global 24/7 coverage capability, ... etc.)
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Own the field/customer perspective, engaging with broader technical and commercial aeroderivative communities to drive customer satisfaction within the constraints of the business objectives.
  • Cost Management: Track and own cost avoidance (savings) for the gas turbine continued time, PSE activities to reduce engine downtime and UERs.
  • Trip Reduction: Track and implement strategies to reduce aeroderivative customer trips, enhancing reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Managed Care Philosophy: Champion the managed care philosophy, focusing on systematically targeting Unscheduled Engine Removal (UER) reduction activities and increasing proactive customer interactions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Significant experience in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of gas turbines & accessories.
  • Prior experience as People Leader of a global technical team.
  • Fluent in English.

Work Environment:

  • The role involves significant interaction with global teams and may require travel to customer sites.
  • The PSEL must be adaptable, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $150,900.00 - 251,500.00 USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
