Job Description Summary

Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Focused on execution of standard enabling activities/provision of advice subject to policy and work routines within an enabling discipline. There may be some latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing situations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, intercompany, etc.. Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process/accounting services.
  • Responsible for GL accounting for Electrification Software revenue.
  • Work closely with the Revenue controller to manage day to day accounting regarding revenue operations, contract liabilities, contract assets, and revenue reporting.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations; maintain accounting rigor.
  • Prepare and review journal entries ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
  • Drive the timely preparation of assigned journal entries driving increased efficiency.
  • Prepare periodic balance sheet analysis.
  • Engage with auditors regarding audit requests, control processes and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare analysis and explanations behind variations and their drivers.
  • Responsible for verifying, analyzing, investigating, and resolving accounting discrepancies and deficiencies.
  • Ensure the accounting accuracy of the revenue subledger.
  • Supporting in special projects, driving analytics.
  • Drive process improvements / transactional quality.
  • Work closely with IT to improve the functionality of the revenue subledger.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires basic experience in the Finance & Accounting Operations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Should be flexible to work between 8am to 11pm.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Knowledge in US GAAP ASC 606
