We are hiring for a Staff Accountant - Accounts Receivable to join the team in our King of Prussia, PA office! The Staff Accountant - Accounts Receivable will be responsible for the daily operations and strategic objectives of GeoBlue's Billing and Accounts Receivable cycle through design, implementation, maintenance and management of Corporate, Student, Individual, and Travel business segment functions and procedures from billing through the collection processes.
Responsibilities:
- Providing customer service regarding collection issues, process customer refunds, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments.
- Monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts - customer calls, account adjustments, and customer reconciliations.
- Properly record and apply daily premium remittances (checks, ACH, wires, and credit card receipts) to outstanding invoices, and where necessary directly interact with groups, brokers, individuals, or client management promptly to reconcile discrepancies and questions.
- Apply appropriate written and verbal communication skills when communicating internally or with a customer.
- Support various financial statement audits by compiling any required audit schedules, evidence, reconciliations, and/or necessary commentary.
- Assist with monthly & yearly closings, completing journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or equivalent working experience.
- 1 - 3 years accounting experience, preferably in insurance or financial service industry.
- Experience with Collections is preferred.
- Proficiency with windows-based computer programs and general ledger packages, including Excel; Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains helpful.
- A mathematical background.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with customer service attitude.
- Ability to work well in team environment; with peers and senior management.
- Capacity to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as detail and quality oriented.
- Ability to complete work within established timeframes.

Working Conditions:
- Flexibility to work in an office and/or at-home, remote office environment.
- Schedule flexibility is occasionally necessary in this position. Individual may be required to perform certain business critical job functions outside of normal working hours.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to communicate internally and externally through receiving and responding to auditory and visual methods.
Competitive base pay starting at $52,073.00 per year.
Compensation is based on prior/relevant experience and skill level in a similar role.
