We are seeking a Regional Sales Director - Corporate to join our team in our Midwest Region! The Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving growth in assigned territory for all size groups (small, medium, large / national accounts). This includes cultivating relationships with prospects, consultants, brokers, and Blues Plans; creating and executing a regional business plan; building a robust pipeline; and achieving regional sales target.
Responsibilities:
- Build a Regional Business Plan that is aimed at strengthening the company's market position and profitability.
- Ensure sales goals are achieved through consistent and effective sales activities.
- Cultivate relationships with current and prospective corporations, consultants, brokers, and Blues Plans.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline with full documentation of activities in Salesforce (or other sales tools).
- Work collaboratively and professionally with cross-functional partners, including Marketing, Operations, and Underwriting to help achieve sales goals.
- Attend Blue plan meetings/conferences, broker events, conferences, tradeshows, and other industry events as needed.
- Acts as the SME for all global needs.
- Become a subject matter expert within the region on the current book of business, the opportunities, the challenges, and other market information.
- Be the strategic thought leader in region with the ability to drive change.
- Work with the Client Management team, as well as the Underwriting team, to ensure our clients' needs are met, that we have a high rate of retention, and assist with larger growth opportunities.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (Business or Marketing) or equivalent experience.
- At least 8-10 years in Sales.
- Significant (6+ years) of experience preferred within the Healthcare, Insurance, Assistance Services, or global benefits industry is preferable.
- Experience working on large complex national accounts.
- Consultative selling skills.
- Global healthcare experience is preferred.
- Underwriting/Finance acumen is a plus.
- Effective communication; strong client service and problem-solving skills; flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines; ability to work in a team setting.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Internet Explorer, as well as other web browsers.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to perform work accurately, thoroughly, and on time, even under stressful conditions.
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate.
- Ability to act as a mentor to sales team where needed.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
- 50% travel and/or being in the market is required.
- Must travel to the King of Prussia, PA office a minimum of 2-4 times per year for face-to-face meetings with leadership and cross-functional partners (should business needs require).
- Employee is required to have at minimum an internet speed of 75 Mbps (standard high-speed internet access).
Working Conditions:
- Flexibility to work in an office and/or at-home, remote office environment.
- Schedule flexibility is occasionally necessary in this position. Individual may be required to attend key business/departmental meetings and/or perform certain business critical job functions outside of normal working hours.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to communicate internally and externally through receiving and responding to auditory and visual methods.
Candidates can reside in any of the following states to cover regions in the Midwest Region: Missouri (MO), Iowa (IA), Wisconsin (WI), Indiana (IA), Ohio (OH), Michigan (MI), and Illinois (IL).
*Michigan (MI) and Illinois (IL) are preferred.
