We are Looking for a Financial Analyst - Operations and Strategic Initiatives who is responsible to provide enhanced financial and business analytics for Operations and Strategic Initiatives, as well as for key processes and/or initiatives. The role will build and/or maintain various financial and operational metrics and analytics, provide analysis to drive business decisions and/or prioritizations, and partner with Data & Analytics team as liaison of Finance to support D&A strategy. This role will also cross-train to provide back-up support/coverage for key Operations Business Analyst responsibilities, as well as strengthen the connectivity between operational metrics and financial planning and forecasting in support of the annual planning processes, monthly results analysis, and forecasting processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct analytics support for key strategic and operational initiatives as prioritized by Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (examples: FEP bid process, supporting U/W ASO and other service cost analysis, service model changes, EPMO project support, etc.).
  • Build financial models to support initiatives; will vary based on initiative. Examples include building a cost and benefit model for a project idea to assist in decision-making, perform a detailed cost assessment to support pricing of a specific product or service, etc.
  • Build out Operations and related function expense planning model(s) in support of monthly results analysis, annual planning, and forecasting processes.
  • Create enhanced per member analytics and metrics to support operations and financial management; link to ongoing operational efficiency efforts and service strategy/service model changes.
  • Support Operations financial management processes and provide back-up for Business Analyst supporting Operations:
    1. Learn key Operations functional processes to develop awareness of the relationship of Operations activities and financial impacts.
    2. Collect and analyze data to validate and support informed business decisions.
    3. Leverage productivity and capacity planning models to inform staffing (back-up to Operations Business Analyst role(s)).
    4. Analyze operational and financial metrics to identify opportunities, trends, impacts to results, and forecasted performance to drive proactive business or financial decisions; (e.g., identify training opportunities, process changes, and development opportunities).
  • Prepare analysis and presentations for key management meetings as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or other advanced degree or certification a plus.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or other analytical roles.
  • 2+ years business process experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, business process, and procedures which may include technical expertise in a functional area.
  • Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment, excellent project management skills, and ability to communicate effectively with a senior leadership team.
  • Experience performing complex financial modeling and analysis.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
  • Superior Microsoft Office Desktop skills.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com, Adaptive Insights, or other reporting and planning applications preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Highly collaborative work style with demonstrated leadership skills in group setting.
  • Employee is required to have at minimum an internet speed of 75 Mbps (standard high-speed internet access).

Working Conditions:

  • Flexibility to work in an office and/or at-home, remote office environment.
  • Schedule flexibility is occasionally necessary in this position. Individual may be required to attend key business/departmental meetings and/or perform certain business critical job functions outside of normal working hours.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to communicate internally and externally through receiving and responding to auditory and visual methods.

Competitive base pay starting at $70,850 per year.
Compensation is based on prior/relevant experience and skill level in a similar role.
