We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Risk Modeling in Raleigh, NC to join us in fulfilling our mission, while utilizing our values of excellence, improvement, and connection. In this role, you will provide tactical and strategic leadership in using risk models to acquire, manage and distribute Risk. The models built and maintained by the Risk Modeling team are used in Enact’s pricing, forecasting and stress testing functions. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Mortgage Insurance, you are responsible for leading the group and setting a vision of how to advance these models and their capabilities. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires partnering with data and analytical teams across the organization.

LOCATION

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop new and advance existing frameworks of econometric models that forecast the performance of both in-force loans and new business.
Provide support, guidance and vision on how to use model results to answer key questions as a part of Enact’s pricing, financial planning and stress testing functions.
Partner with IT in the design and implementation of the tools and technology that deliver key model results to the business.
Ensure all models and valuations follow internal model documentation, governance, and control requirements.
Collaboratively and proactively identify areas of improvement for Enact’s suite of risk models and their usage.
Participate in reviews of portfolio performance, financial planning, and risk management for the business, as appropriate.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree or equivalent in actuarial science, statistics, financial mathematics, or a related field
7+ years of modeling experience
Knowledge of econometric modeling concepts and application
Experience developing, testing, and documenting models from large data sets
Demonstrated strong leadership and management capabilities
Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills to present complex subjects clearly to stakeholders, including senior management
Ability to challenge and influence in a collaborative way
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with mortgage performance forecasting
Familiarity with financial cashflows
Experience using advanced machine learning modeling techniques with AWS
