Work Arrangement

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Detroit, Michigan, three times per week, at minimum.

The Role

The Global Payroll and Timekeeping Tools Transformation Analyst plays a critical role in GM's Timekeeping tool upgrade to UKG Pro (legacy Kronos). The role will be engaged in all phases of the program and be responsible for analyzing timekeeping related business processes and eliciting requirements / user stories. This role will also collaborate with the team to lead change management activities related to the upgrade that maximize the business impact of the upgrade.

  • Lead collaboration sessions with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements to ensure a clear understanding of project objectives.
  • Consult with business process owners to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives that will translate into tool requirements/user stories.
  • Document requirements into user stories for IT to develop.
  • Create and execute test plans to ensure that requirements meet the business needs and function correctly.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, business process owners, and subject matter experts.
  • Lead change management related activities that enable the market to successfully adopt the benefits of the upgrade (adoption of best practices).
  • Research, benchmark and identify best practices and participate in continuous education to guide the business in the identification of 'differentiator' or 'competitive advantage' processes.
  • Proactively identify project issues and recommend viable solutions.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Interpersonal skills, analytical mindset, and technical product knowledge are critical to success.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 5+ years of related work experience
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time internationally.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Software applications implementation experience
  • Experience Development of business process models, business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional) and product backlogs
  • Broad knowledge of scheduling, labor management, HR/Payroll, enterprise resource planning (ERP), or similar domain product/systems
  • UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) experience or (Kronos Workforce Central or Dimensions)
  • Full lifecycle of a UKG WFM Pro project or workstream including, Business Analysis, Functional Specification, Testing, Cutover and Hypercare
  • Knowledge of modules: Scheduling, Absence/Leave and Timekeeping
