As a Systems Test Engineer for the Low Voltage and Activation Management Systems , you will be planning, developing, executing, and analyzing system level tests that ensure our designs satisfy our customer's expectations on system performance, reliability, and quality. Specific tasks include leading development of test plans, choosing evaluation methods, executing tests, collaborating with virtual tool owners, analyzing results, migrating physical based test activities to virtual, leading root cause activities, and collaborating on solution development.
Our upcoming work brings new, difficult challenges when it comes to effectively testing systems requirements use cases and complex functions within new low voltage architectures. This is an assignment where creativity, initiative, analytical skills, a deep understanding of our customers' experience, and cross-functional team work is crucial and celebrated!
What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute test procedures that align to system level functional and performance requirements, related to the low voltage system technical specification, activation manager system technical specification, energy consumption target verification, service/device activation profile performance, and end-to-end testing of low voltage and activation related features.
- Participate in DFMEA development and reviews
- Improve existing or invent new evaluation methods as needed
- Plan and negotiate allocation of resources necessary to support testing (both physical and virtual)
- Track feature development and align testing activities with TFRP timing; support CoSim demos
- Work on test script development to automate test plans
- Support issue triage and new feature integration testing with software and systems engineers
- Review product design and manufacturing changes to develop risk-based test plans
- Support development of customer use cases with systems engineers
- Summarize and communicate test status, support data driven design direction
- Ensure correlation of physical testing to virtual testing to fulfill goal of virtual modeling capability and accuracy
- Support setup and debugging test properties to assure test readiness
- Lead build process for test articles from concept to physical builds where needed, manage bill of materials assigned to the build and manage resources required for the build.
