The Role:
We are seeking an experienced WMS Architect (Manhattan Associates and/or Infor WMS experience preferred) to lead the design, implementation, and support of warehouse management solutions within a fast-paced environment. This role requires a deep understanding of warehouse operations and extensive experience in configuring and troubleshooting WMS systems to meet complex business needs. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, execute testing, and provide post-deployment support.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and communication skills, advanced PL/SQL expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient, and scalable solutions. Additionally, mentoring junior team members and ensuring system alignment with organizational goals are key aspects of this role.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Possess a thorough understanding of the four walls of a warehouse and all operational processes.
- Participate in the full lifecycle of WMS implementation and support projects, including information gathering, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and go-live processes as part of the GM deployment team.
- Design and configure efficient WMS solutions based on detailed requirements and system specifications.
- Demonstrate technical writing proficiency for system design specifications and user documentation of software systems.
- Collaborate with business teams to gather and understand issues/problems, recommending effective solutions.
- Support business and IT partners with WMS-related inquiries.
- Deploy solutions into production following successful QA and UAT testing.
- Provide post-go-live support after deploying the solution into production.
- Actively engage in the identification/remediation of software issues related to code or solutions quality, security, and/or pattern/frameworks and software usability or end-user related issues.
- Address any defects raised quickly with the intent of minimizing any impact on business.
- Provide support and take the lead in resolving any high-priority tickets.
- Have strong knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software systems. Analyze and understand the logs. Dedicatedly engage in the remediation of software issues related to code/solutions quality and/or security.
- Diagnose server and network-related issues that could impact production.
- Ensure high service delivery performance.
- Support integrating software with existing software/systems.
- Collaborate with architects and data scientists to ensure alignment with design patterns and frameworks.
- Manage WMS environments, including application installation and patching.
- Mentor software configurators and review their work.
Additional Description
What You'll Need (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent discipline
- 8+ years of direct experience and knowledge of WMS (Manhattan, Infor WMS, or equivalent) implementations, troubleshooting, and support
- Proficiency in applying base WMS functionality and configurations to meet client/business needs
- Expertise in researching and recommending custom designs to resolve business challenges
- Knowledge and experience with the configuration of highly complex WMS applications
- Ability to interpret business requirements into application configuration tasks
- Strong Oracle DB, SQL Server, and PL/SQL development knowledge
- Experience developing custom WMS solutions including PL/SQL, bash shell scripting
- Experience developing WMS enhancements, preferably Java
People Skills:
- Great communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work independently or in group settings as needed
- Strong technical and non-technical presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively across business and IT functions.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with relational database concepts and Unix
- Preferred experience with Agile, Scrum, iterative, or waterfall development methodologies
- Understanding of end-user devices and their configurations, including printers
- Experience in creating and supporting labels and reports
