The Role:
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy of all incoming material shipments, receiving material into inventory and maintaining plant records in an organized manor. Shipping out any special orders, returns or materials as needed.
Role Responsibilities:
- Verify qty received matches shipment paperwork
- Receive material into inventory management system (SAP)
- Maintain records by filing completed receipts
- Communicate with vendors to resolve any issues
- Work with payment team on investigation of discrepancies
- Receive nonstandard shipments (Catalog, bailment, CCA, ETC)
- Process all requests for outbound shippers
- Schedule FedEx pickups
- Wrap skids and load trucks as needed
- Pick and pack material for shipment
Additional Description
Physical Requirements:
- Quick response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals are a must
- Comfortably wear personal protective equipment
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
- Navigate a busy warehouse
- Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach
- May need to lift or carry materials weighing up to 40 lbs. depending on department
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Attention to detail
- Basic Math Skills
- Organizational skills
- Computer Literacy (MGO/SAP)
- Factory/warehouse experience
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with GM systems, MGO, SAP
- Fork truck License
Work Arrangement:
On Site : This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Defense Production Facility on a full-time basis (shift is four ($) 10's, Monday - Thursday).
This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
