Work Arrangement

This role is categorized as on-site. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to SGM in Shanghai, China five times per week.

The Role -

The Strategy Product & Planning Management Deputy Director is a pivotal role that oversees the strategic direction and planning of product and technology initiatives to realize the SGM software business strategy. This position requires a dynamic leader who can manage the digital product portfolio, ensuring that all product roadmaps support strategic objectives and contribute to the achievement of business OKRs.

  • Leads and collaborates with a large set of stakeholders to identify, build, and test customer value propositions.
  • Communicate complex subjects in a simple and straightforward way, and is a skilled problem solver that utilizes data and experience to identify problems and solutions
  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on customer needs and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure product goals and priorities alignment.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and potential threats.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior product team members, sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning
  • Develop and manage product requirements, including user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
  • Create and maintain product backlogs and prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to develop intuitive and compelling user interfaces.
  • Define and track key metrics using OKRs and KPIs to measure product success and inform future decisions.
  • Communicate product updates, progress, and plans to stakeholders across the organization, including executives, customers, and partners.
  • Manage product launches, including developing go-to-market strategies and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Conduct post-launch analysis to evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuously iterate and improve the product based on user feedback, market trends, and business goals.
  • Communicate changes of scope and delivery items to impacted teams and delivery of core products to be used across multiple LOBs seamlessly.

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 10+ years of experience digital products, intelligent cockpit or complex software applications across a range of channels
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing product teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, IT, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related discipline
  • Proven record of creating successful digital products or experiences at enterprise scale
  • Deep expertise in the product management strategy
