Are you a passionate software engineer eager to build high-impact web applications that drive business growth? We're seeking a talented Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our team and lead the development of our innovative vehicle sales platform.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of General Motors by designing, developing, and maintaining a robust web application that empowers dealerships to succeed. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating seamless user experiences and driving sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Mentor: Oversee development teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and exceed quality standards. Mentor and develop junior engineers to foster a culture of growth and innovation.
  • Build Scalable Solutions: Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications that handle large-scale transaction volumes.
  • Collaborate for Success: Partner closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to create exceptional user experiences.
  • Drive Quality and Efficiency: Establish and uphold rigorous coding standards. Conduct code reviews and implement best practices to optimize development processes.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Additional Description

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience
  • Hands on experience with design and development of highly available, distributed, and scalable transaction enterprise systems.
  • Experience in designing / architecting systems for zero downtime.
  • Strong (5-7 years) UI/Java EE background with deeper knowledge of Restful Web Services, JAX-RS, HTML, JavaScript, React/Angular, CSS, Spring Boot/Spring MVC and PowerShell. azure
  • Experience in general database entity design, SQL / PLSQL coding, query performance and efficiency tuning.
  • Solid knowledge of web application development using client-side frameworks / libraries like AngularJS
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Technologies, and microservice approaches
  • Experience with Java test frameworks such as JUnit.
  • Thorough understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, tools and multiple team working methodologies such as waterfall, scrum, agile.
  • Working knowledge of source control software (ADO, Git or SVN).
  • Self-starter and quick learner who understands and can adapt to existing software application and computing infrastructures.
  • Able to design for and lead development of 12 factor applications including designing and implementing frameworks and technologies for Continuous Integration, Build and Delivery.
  • Crafting self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components in back-end technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud Containers
  • Experience with networking and client-server communication (REST, web sockets, server-sent events)
  • Understanding messaging technologies such as Azure Event Service, Event Hub / Service Bus, Kafka, as well as other streaming applications & tools.
  • Ability to architect and implement scalable high availability solutions.
  • Proficiency in build/release pipeline solutions.
  • Empathy with users internal and external, and a strong customer focus
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience or knowledge with some or all the following tools would be a plus:

  • React.JS front end framework technologies
  • Strong background in building UI frameworks
  • Experience with at least one of the public cloud providers Azure, AWS, GCP
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Engineering preferred
