Description

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Mountain View, CA or Warren, MI location three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business].

The Role:

In-vehicle electronics is a fast-growing technology in the global automotive industry featuring many cutting-edge technologies such as Compute, body and zone controllers, multi-view cameras, Gig+Ethernet, PCIe, digital/analog interfaces and more. We are looking for creative and enthusiastic leader to become part of a fast-moving team who want to lead the future direction of the automotive industry.

In this role, you will lead and provide strategic direction to Signal Integrity, PCB Layout, Worst Case analysis, Component Engineering, Tools and Infrastructure, Mechanical and Thermal Design Engineering and Component Specification and Requirement teams. You will also define strategic goals, mentor team members, and ensure alignment with broader organizational objectives to deliver exceptional results in high-speed PCB and system-level design.

Our ECU Electrical team is a dynamic, high-energy, and innovative group focused on developing electrical design of next generation ECUs (Electronic Control Units). The team also reviews and approves production ECU design changes.

Additional Description

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Leading and mentoring diverse teams, including PCB Layout, Worst Case Analysis, Component Engineering, Enterprise Resiliency, and Component Technical Requirement and Specification.
  • Driving collaboration and alignment across teams to ensure cohesive operations and outcomes.
  • Strategic Oversight:
  • Developing and implementing strategies to streamline hardware design processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ensuring all support teams provide robust, scalable solutions to meet internal and external stakeholders' needs.

Technical Expertise and Support:

  • Delivering best-in-class PCB layout services to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Ensuring thorough and reliable Worst Case Analysis to mitigate potential failures and improve product reliability.
  • Providing strong component engineering support, including vendor management and component selection to meet design requirements.
  • Strengthening enterprise resilience by identifying and mitigating risks in the hardware supply chain and technical processes.
  • Overseeing the creation and maintenance of detailed component technical requirements and specifications.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Supporting various hardware engineering teams across the organization by providing specialized expertise and resources.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for external teams requiring hardware engineering support.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Driving innovation within the hardware design support ecosystem.
  • Promoting the adoption of new tools, processes, and technologies to enhance team capabilities.

A company vehicle will be provided for this role with successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report review.

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant in the California Bay Area which includes the following counties: Marin, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz might be paid in accordance with the California law.

The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.

The annual salary range for this role is $234,000 - $358,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
