Description

Plan and perform advanced surfacing concepts and the timely and careful development of Class A surface of full vehicle exterior systems. Interpret and define the design intent of the designer while directly collaborating with engineering, packaging, human factors, and tooling teams. Design and develop three dimensional (3D) Class A surfaces of conventional internal combustion engine (ICE), diesel, Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Autonomous Vehicle (AV) full vehicle passenger car, truck and sport utility vehicle exterior components including front and rear fascias, grills, headlamps, taillamps, doors, fenders, A,B,C and D pillars, skid plates, liftgates, truck beds and detailed exterior components including door handles, mirrors, lamp internals and exhaust tips, using Autodesk Alias AutoStudio, Autodesk Maya, Siemens NX and VRED tools, for U.S., global and emerging markets. Interpret, conceptualize and execute solutions to technical challenges and provide creative proposals to capture design intent from initial concept through mass production achieved in various stages according to Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP), while collaborating with engineering, packaging, human factors, and tooling teams to assure minimum radii, minimum draft, tooling and safety requirements in compliance with U.S., European and China standards.

Additional Description

Bachelor's degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, or related field. Five years of experience as a Digital Sculptor, Digital Modeler, or related role. Experience with: designing or developing three-dimensional (3D) Class A surfaces of full vehicle passenger vehicle exterior components including fascias, grills, headlamps, tail lamps, doors, fenders, A, B, C and D pillars, and lift gates, using Alias AutoStudio, NX and VRED tools, for U.S., global and emerging markets.
