This role is categorized as HYBRID . This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM - Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.

Join GM as a Sales Planner/Spec Writer ! Ensure the availability of accurate Vehicle Order Management (VOM) Specification Tables to enable salable Manufacturing Validation Builds (MVB) and new model year order flow. Support the weekly Dealer Ordering Submission Process (DOSP) for all required distribution entities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Vehicle Description Summary (VDS) compatible VOM specification tables consistent with defined marketing intent
  • Maintain Startup Program Management Calendar to ensure enterprise awareness of and track compliance with milestone due dates
  • Execute VOM spec table changes through the Spec Change process and in accordance with Blockpoint timing, coordinating with other functional areas
  • Participate proactively in cross-functional Order Fulfillment Vertical and Launch Team meetings, providing data and analyses
  • Create and maintain pattern orders for Retail and Company Vehicle Operations (CVO)
  • Support analysis and calculation of constraints
  • Load allocation quantities and constraints, monitor funding in support of weekly DOSP process
  • Monitor and resolve Production Order Management System (POMS) hard and soft rejects each week
  • Contribute/provide feedback to the development of new/updated systems and processes
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new/updated systems

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related area
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Operations or related area
  • Ability to analyze and organize data from various source points
  • Knowledge of VOM & POMS, Order Workbench systems
  • Experience collaboratively working with cross functional teams
  • Ability to work independently with good judgement, excellent communication, presentation, and MS Office skills
  • Field Sales and/or Marketing experience preferred
  • Product knowledge preferred
  • Working knowledge or experience with GM Logical Language / VDS
