Description
This sales professional has territorial responsibility in Western Canada for the administration of the Commercial Fleet / GM Envolve business with a focus on GM dealerships. The successful candidate will act as a consultant to the dealers and field staff within the region. The individual will work collaboratively with external and internal key stakeholders on the development and implementation of fleet and commercial business plans. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of initiatives including administering and guiding dealers with compliance of the established Business Elite program standards, driving business results, developing and implementing marketing initiatives, customer retention, product displays, financial analysis, and training.

Job Description
- Act as liaison between GM, its dealerships, and Business Elite stores. Not limited to only Business elite stores - all stores within the Western Region (BC, Alberta, and Prairie Provinces) that are interested in growing the fleet business.
- Manage large territory of 35-50 GM Business Elite Dealers; contacting, communicating, and consulting to maximize strategic and operational performance.
- Plan, schedule, execute and recap dealer visit within a CRM contact tool for all dealer visits.
- Administer dealer compliance of the Business Elite program standards such as annual assessments, Business Elite Demo authorization, Co-op program consulting and claim approval.
- Manage and support dealers with fleet vehicle specs.
- Provide proactive regular, value-added communications and reports to dealers to maintain focus on key operational priorities and results.
- Serve as subject matter expert to retail teams in Western Region.
- Manage the month-end fleet rinse process at the region - including coordinating efforts of participating local fleet/regional staff as required.
- Facilitating mentoring and consulting to ensure monthly / yearly sales targets / objectives are achieved. Action planning with GM dealers plays a critical role.
- Assist in product launches to ensure streamlined marketing and advertising with GM Envolve and dealership teams.
- Provide monthly sales summary / results and communication to the regional dealerships.
- Monitor personnel training and ensure compliance with GM requirements/objectives.
- Analyze dealer sales, local market, and competition to identify revenue opportunities.
- Increase sales of GM vehicles and parts / accessories to fleet customers.
- Support GM dealerships with help training new fleet staff.
- Provide knowledge of EVs, EV Charging Networks, Home EV Charging products and Installation services to fleet customer and Dealerships.
- Remote - This position does not require employee to be on-site in a GM office full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis, within the Calgary area. This position requires an employee to cover territory visits to dealerships in a frequent and reoccurring frequency.
Additional Description
Required Skills / Experience / Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent, relevant experience.
- Four plus years of experience in sales and/or customer service, would be an asset.
- A prolific communicator with highly proficient presentation skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong intellectual horsepower and proven ability to take complex technical product offerings and simply them for consumers and sales teams is required.
- Strong computer software and analytics skills, especially Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel and the ability to take complex amounts of data and develop key insights and actions.
- Ability to build strong relationships and manage expectations with dealers, customers, Regional Retail teams, GM Envolve and Commercial team; leverage relationships to influence performance.
- Ability to work independently and balance conflicting priorities while maintaining effectiveness.
- Strong time management skills to focus efforts effectively and efficiently on the most impactful activities.
- Willing to travel as necessary to execute responsibilities of the position.
- Experience within automotive sales and specific knowledge of GM sales operations across Chevrolet, Buick, GMC & Cadillac brand would be an asset
