Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite at the GM Global Technical Center - Sloan Engineering Center at least three times per week minimum or other frequency dictated by the business.

Job Description Summary

This is a hands-on role, developing, integrating, and bring-up of ADAS Data Collection Vehicles and Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) benches and vehicles.

  • Collaborate across multiple GM teams to integrate new technologies into data collection vehicles.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot multiple hardware and software systems, such as compute, ADAS sensors, IMUs, high precision GPS, Time Synchronization, Linux, and internal data collection software tools.
  • Collaborate across multiple GM teams for early bring up of SDV component benches
  • Integrate Linux test systems, Ethernet integration (e.g. VLANs, PTP/gPTP, routing, filtering, multi-casting, etc.).
  • Support for benches across the globe, and helping teams with troubleshooting of SDV component benches.
  • Support other team activities, such as 3D printing, vehicle operations, vehicle troubleshooting, etc

Additional Description

Skills and Abilities, Required:

  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of work experience in Software and Hardware integration
  • Experience with GMLAN/CAN vehicle communication system and CAN based monitoring tools like Intrepid NeoVi, Rad Galaxy etc.
  • Linux, Python, C
  • Ethernet protocols and network configuration
  • ADAS hardware such as CPUs, GPUs, and ADAS sensors.
  • Ability to interpret requirements and apply them to integration methods
  • Ability to work in fast paced and fast changing work environment
  • Enjoys thinking on the fly, and dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to lead complex problems and take risks to find solutions
  • High level of oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington

  • Compensation: The expected base compensation for this role is : $75,400 - $119,800 Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
