This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI or Mountain View, CA three times per week, at minimum.

What You'll Do
- Project Management: Oversee and manage multiple internal communication projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards. (Examples include a modern mobile app for plant workers and a refreshed global intranet home page.)
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive plans to support company objectives and enhance employee engagement. Demonstrate a problem-solving mindset and willingness to stretch and learn.
- Content Development: Create, curate, and distribute engaging content to promote enhancements and motivate employees to be active participants in GM's employee channels.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including technical teams and senior leadership, to ensure alignment and collaboration on shared goals.
- Measurement and Reporting: Establish metrics to evaluate project efforts. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in internal communications and project management, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and leading teams.
- Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills with an eye for creativity and detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of the organization. Effective verbal presentation skills are a must, as you'll need to articulate complex ideas clearly and work with diverse teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable refinements and insights.
- Adaptability to navigate change in a fast-paced environment. You'll be asked to solve problems, often without a clear roadmap.
- A company vehicle will be provided for this role with successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report review.
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.
- The salary range for this role is $127,900 - $200,100. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
