Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Concord, NC three times per week, at minimum.
The Role
We are seeking a Simulation Correlation Engineer to aid in the validation of our simulation toolchain in GM Motorsports. You will help validate the complete toolchain for a standalone simulation tool. Using software best practices, you will help define test procedures for vehicles on track to collect the required data to validate existing models. You will be required to deliver all projects to the highest standards, on time and within budget. You must have experience in using C#, Python, VBA, Matlab, or Dymola and have a passion for solving complex open-ended problems.

What You'll Do
- Play a key role in simulation validation of a wider tool chain
- Identify and solve simulation correlation problems that will span Data Acquisition, Sim Modelling, Tire Modelling, and Aero Modelling
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related subject
- 5 + years of highly validated experience in design or testing gained within a motorsport organization
- NASCAR, IndyCar, SportsCar or F-1 experience
- Knowledge of C#, Python, VBA, Matlab, or Dymola
- Willingness to travel to 5+ track tests per year
- Passion for solving complex open ended problems
- Ability to multi-task in a multifaceted, constantly evolving environment, bringing a strong work ethic and integrity; able to work a flexible schedule
