Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite full time at the GM Global Technical Center - Estes Engineering Center.

As the Materials and Assets Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing assets such as test tools, benches, key components/lab materials.
- Collaborating with the finance team to request budgets and also managing the budget.
- Tracking usage and maintaining inventory.
- Placing material orders for lab tools, equipment, and components using GM material systems (i.e., ECM-eMERGE/eSAP-Ariba/SPO).
- Verifying that purchase requests contain valid quotes, forms, and approvals for submission and PO creation. Communicating with requestors regarding the purchase process and any missing items in the request.
- Monitoring purchase requests daily for approvals and release of purchase orders.
- Tagging inventories for all received and disbursed parts.
- Coordinating shipping and receiving activities between suppliers, GM warehouse, docks, and GM test regions.
- Providing support for all necessary Export Compliance paperwork for shipping benches and modules overseas.
- Creating shippers in the shipping system and ensuring packaging meets regional guidelines for shipment.
- Collaborating with dock personnel to arrange shipment and select carriers.
- Reconciling and updating all order information.

Additional Description
Requirements:
- A minimum of a 2-year Associate Degree is required, but a 4-year engineering degree or experience in a related field is preferred. Equivalent military experience in a relevant field will also be taken into consideration.
- 5+ years' experience in Materials inventory, Logistics & Purchasing or job-related area.
- Ability to understand automotive components, tools and equipment.
- Proficiency in technical skills such as MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.), SharePoint, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills, including effective collaboration and cross-cultural communication, are also essential.
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington
- Compensation: The expected base compensation for this role is : $80,100 - $122,800 Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
