HybridThis role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren three times per week, at minimum. The RoleThe Engineering Group Manager (EGM) for Process Management is responsible for leading, coaching, inspiring, and managing a group of various engineering process owners and subject matter experts (SMEs). This role directly manages development and maintenance of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of the organization's business strategies that have a direct impact on enterprise results and ensures compliance with GM's Global Product Safety Principles. GM's Process organization is transforming to be more strategic in providing cross functional alignment between Global Product Development and Soft and Services. This leader will be challenged with seeking out opportunities that streamline the enterprise to the most efficient solutions. They will influence others throughout the enterprise to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches, including identifying problems and updating or modifying complex working methods while promoting GM's values.What You'll DoResponsible for ensuring business processes are streamlined, efficient, and documented.Ensure that processes comply with GM's Global Product Safety Principles and internal safety requirements.Work alongside the GMAS team and the GPD Safety Process Federal Oversight Lead to continuously audit processes internally.Partner with cross functional corporate process owners to drive commonality in both SS and GPD.Lead a team of process owners (~15-20 members) within the newly formed Engineering Process Improvement and Efficiency team.Innovate and execute efficiency opportunities within current business processes to reduce proliferation of tool solutions.Remove roadblocks and resolve potential issues for the team, escalating issues quickly when execution issues are identifiedConduct regularly scheduled Group Meetings and Communicate GM Policies Procedures, Leadership, and Safety Messages.Assign and manage workload for direct reports, reviewing and approving work-related data.Responsible for training, mentoring, giving constructive feedback, and the development of team members.Partner with staff to develop yearly CAP goals aligned to corporate KSIs.Identify develop succession plans for staff, including well-vetted interviewing and seamless onboarding to new hires.Manage cultural diversity in the team, and support global partners and program activityFormally informally recognize employee contributions and provide timely and consistent feedback to direct employees appropriately.Participate in compensation planning and deliver compensation as supported by leadership.Ensure employees complete all mandatory GM training and any specific training related to functional responsibility.

Highly developed oral and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.Proven capabilities of leading strong teams to success.
