Work ArrangementThis role requires an employee to be onsite on a full time basis.The Role The key role and responsibility of this position will cover the key areas below:What You'll DoParts Operation StrategyDevelop and lead Parts Operation team to achieve business target as required.Setup clear business strategy and cadence of parts supply and fulfillment for different stages along with vehicle sales.Resource plan alignment with different stakeholders to ensure parts business solution could be deployed efficiently and effectively.Develop business timeline and roadmap, and closely track and check to identify any potential risk in advance.Build and maintain good relationship with key stakeholders and partners including GM leadership, GMNA, SGM, Suppliers, etc.Digital tool/BI solution design to ensure a good management approach.Parts Launch Readiness for New Model LaunchClosely work with Product team and New Car Sales team to understand the new car cadence for future portfolio and setup parts readiness plan accordingly.Closely work with Parts Engineering team to ensure the parts list release on schedule and correctness.Lead the conversation with GMNA parts team to track the launch cadence, and ensure the delivery from GMNA.Lead the process of parts planning, to deliver the Initial Order Quantity (IOQ) and Initial Stock Order (ISO) for dealer.Lead the strategy and process for parts pricing for each new model, via a closely co-work with SGM team to conduct a smooth process.Complete the IOQ by a well planned cadence via a closely co-work with SGM team to conduct a smooth process.Parts Daily Operation and Continuously ImprovementWork with GMNA parts teams and SGM team to develop the standard process of parts operation, including release, pricing, packaging, ordering, supplier fulfillment, shipment channel, cost control, Custom claim, local warehousing, packaging, transportation, PAC, parts return, etc.Lead the parts daily operation process to ensure an efficient and effective supply to meet the customer and dealer demand.Manage the parts revenue and profit according to business plan and priority via closely work with x-functional teams.Setup KPI metrics of operations and get alignment with NA and SGM, such ISO rate, fill rate, lead time, stock level, etc.Track and monitor daily operation status to ensure the health of business. Identify the gap and potential risk in time, then lead the improvement continuously.Develop and maintain the IT system for parts operation by leveraging existing system from NA and SGM, as well as system development/adjustment according to local sourcing solution.Urgent Case Resolutions for Parts SupplySetup a good mechanism of parts supply solution for urgent case in China, which is able to meet the business/customer needs.Manage the resource plan properly (local oversea), and conduct the implementation efficiently.Closely work with X-functional team in GM including CCA, Engineering, Product, Quality, Finance, Sales, etc. to ensure a good communication towards the issue resolution. Escalate issue/risk properly in time to leadership.Business Growth Opportunity DevelopmentMake the long-term business plan to foresee the future business growth from parts operation perspective.Setup parts local sourcing echo-system to support business strategy and priority, including planning, demanding analysis, channel sourcing, supplier management, operation tracking, etc.Seek opportunity to cooperate with other GM regions to improve the business efficiency such as cost down, shorten lead time and enhance fillrate.Lead industry study regarding the benchmark practice to propose new opportunity to refine parts operation continuously.
