Engineering Group Manager - Electrification New Markets RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads, guides and directs a large group of technical employees responsible for engineering deliverables in support of the organization's business objectives.Manages engineering execution of team as related to the Vehicle Development Process deliverables.Provides technical leadership to work team. Interacts and collaborates with many teams cross-functionally.Leads team on new methods or initiatives without defined procedures.Leads team to meet targets.Reviews and approves engineering documentation, e.g. requirements, documents.Hiring: Identifies leads staffing initiatives for work team.COMMUNICATING:Conducts regularly scheduled Group Meetings, Communicates GM Policies Procedures, Leadership and Safety Messages.Creates and communicates vision strategies specific to functional responsibilities. May include preparing and giving presentations.TRAINING DEVELOPING:Insures employees complete all mandatory GM training and any specific training related to functional responsibility.Understands supports employee's career development goals. Develops and executes initiatives to improve work team capability and increase work team capacity.ASSIGNING WORK:Assigns and manages workload for direct reports. Sets individual employee and group priorities.MONITORING APPROVING GM RECORDS:Reviews and approves employee work and overtime schedules, expenses, and other work-related data.EVALUATING PERFORMANCE AND BEHAVIORS:Reviews deliverables and provides candid constructive feedback. Conducts performance interventions when necessary.RECOGNITION:Formally informally recognizes employee's contributions.Provides timely and consistent feedback to direct employee's as appropriate.Participates in compensation planning and administers compensation treatment.REMOVING ROADBLOCKS RESOLVING ISSUES/COMPLAINTS:Observes and steps up to remove roadblocks and resolve potential issues.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional Description
Minimum Required Skills and Experiences:Bachelor of Science in Engineering to include Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Mathematics.Minimum 7+ years of engineering experience related to embedded control system, calibration, related hardware, and/or safety critical system developmentDemonstrated results in successful project executionExcellent multi-functional communication and leadership skills - able to get multiple teams moving in the same directionDemonstrated ability to "Deal with Ambiguity" while driving timely decision makingPreferred Skills and Experience:Master of Science in Engineering and/or Master of Business AdministrationLeadership experience of teams of engineers responsible for developing or testing embedded control systems or related hardwareDemonstrated ability to: achieve results through effective teamwork, lead numerous projects with different focal areas to successful completion,, and manage and measure work through metrics, data, and resultsPrior experience in Electrification domainsExperience managing a global team that is geographically dispersedWorking knowledge of embedded controls development tool set - (e.g. IBM Rational Tool Suite, Jira/Jama, Git ecosystem, MatLab-Simulink, ETAS)"Scaled Agilist" certification in the Scaled Agile Framework®#LI-SW1This job is not eligible for relocation benefits.
