Work Arrangement: Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to one of the following locations: Detroit, MI, Warren, MI, Austin, TX or Roswell, GA, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in SAP Development to join our dynamic IT team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP applications and solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, design technical solutions, ensure the successful implementation of SAP projects and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in SAP technologies, demonstrate a proven track record of successful SAP project implementations, exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.What You'll Do (Job Responsibilities):Design and Development: Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions, including enhancements, customizations, and integrations using SAP BTP, ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and other SAP technologies (CAP, HANA Cloud etc.)System Implementation: Participate in the full lifecycle of SAP projects, from requirement gathering and analysis to go-live and post-implementation supportTechnical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance optimizationCollaboration: Work closely with functional teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutionsMethodology: Adhere to Clean core guiding principles, adapt cloud-based applications using SAP Cloud Platform tools and technologies and embrace cloud mindsetDocumentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manualsSupport and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP systems, including troubleshooting and issue resolution

Your Skills Abilities (Required Qualifications):Education: Bachelor's degree in stem or a related fieldOverall 5+ years of experience in SAP development, including extensive experience developing and enhancing solutions developed in RICEFW, RAP ODataStrong experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and OData servicesFamiliarity with SAP Cloud Platform, RISE, and SAP integration technologies (IDocs, RFC, BAPI, SOAP, REST)Experience with SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments with S/4HANA upgrades and ECC to S/4HANA upgrades with code remediationMinimum 2 years of experience in SAP BTP implementation for application development, automation, and data analyticsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDemonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior developersHolds oneself and others accountable for demonstrating GM's values and cultural behaviors, models GM behaviors, and creates a winning cultureCapable of delivering high-quality solutions within a dynamic environment and challenging timelinesWhat Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):Education: Master's degree in stem or a related fieldOverall 7+ years of experience in SAP development, including extensive experience developing and enhancing solutions developed in RICEFW, RAP ODataProficiency in SAP ABAP programming, including RESTful programming, CDS, modern extensibility, etc.Knowledge of SAP modules such as SAP SD, MM, FI/CO, or othersKnowledge of BTP tools/services like SAP Build Work Zone, Business Application Studio, and GITExperience developing cloud-based applications on the SAP BTP platformDevelops globally compatible, reusable, and flexible technical frameworks/architectureExposure to and/or knowledge of SAP new-dimensional technologies like AEM, SAP Datasphere, Flexible Workflow, and Joule are a plus. This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
