In this Sr. Web Software Engineer role, you will lead and develop backend services for GM Commercial Services' new software solution. This role provides a unique opportunity where you will be working across all of the GM Commercial Services software products, and truly steering the future of GM Commercial Services' web applications, products, and customers. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization including product, design, and other engineering functions.Mentor engineers earlier in their technical career to help them grow.Explore new technologies and enrich our technological stack.Actively participate in technical discussions and deep dives with architectural groups.

Required Qualifications:5+ years of hands-on web application development Strong understanding and experience with React, Redux, and design systems.Write high quality production code that is tested thoroughly, supported by clear documentation and has appropriate production observabilityStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile development environment.Experience working independently and drive features or components throughout the development lifecycleExcellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.Knowledge of software design patterns, OO, data structures, and algorithms.Experience Building and Launching Web ApplicationsPreferred QualificationsStrong product focus and acumen.Experience with IoT stack is a big plus A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Engineering preferred#LI-SW1This role is categorized as Hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite three times (Tue., Wed., Thurs.) per week at minimum.The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant in the California Bay Area which includes the following counties: Marin, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz might be paid in accordance with the California law.The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.The annual salary range for this role is $152,100 - $232,900. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.Benefits: GM offers a variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs.
