Work Arrangement- This role is categorized as On-Site. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Technical Center Korea located in Bupyeong, Incheon full time.
The Role -
Being a key player in General Motors product development and design reviews as member of cross functional discussions to drive robustness and excellence in all release levels, covering since single parts through full sub-systems integration into the vehicle.
Tools and process such as Benchmarking, DFMEA and Design Reviews will be extensively used to drive lesson learned and protect the customers.
The selected candidate must also be able to challenge current process and specifications with high focus on efficiency and robustness in all levels which includes customer needs, performance, design for assembly, material and enterprise cost.

Selected candidate will also champion and lead some processes, meetings and discussions so we expect you to have the ability to influence and negotiate with different hierarchical levels and bring different ideas and perspectives into the company.
What You'll Do -
• Key DFMEA team member (DFMEA coach)
• Ensure robustness is implemented in the design release
• Ensure know problems are avoided through adequate methods and lesson learned reviews
• Lead cross-subsystems reviews to ensure components work properly in the vehicle
• Ensure design for assembling is reviewed during design reviews
• Close relationship and work with different engineering functions and team
Ensure escalation process is triggered when necessary
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) -
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial design, Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required
• Overall GPA of B grade (3.0/4.5) or higher for all grades
• A minimum of 3 years work experience in a relevant field is required
• Proficiency in the DFMEA process
• Experience with Unigraphics NX or relevant tools.
• A person can work full-time after joining the company

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) -
• Proven experience of successful customer/warranty or systemic issues resolution or prevention
• Automotive, aerospace or technology industry experience
• Ability to work globally, independently, and self-directed
• Ability to learn and collaborate with peers, global teams and suppliers with a positive attitude
• Adaptability to a dynamic business environment/market
experience
• A person who has no reason to be disqualified for traveling abroad
• Good at utilizing Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint
• Good skill on writing, speaking, active listening and presenting in Korean & English
