Work Arrangement

This role is categorized as on-site. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to HQ Building in Shanghai, China five times per week.

The Role

  • Provide facility engineering services realted to all electromechanical installations for the site.
  • Assume Responsibility for sustaining existing facility assets at the best level of performance and productivity.
  • Review and determine applicable standards to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding operation and maintenance of facilities equipment
  • Manage and deliver site and building facilities augmentation/retrofit projects required to support engineering operations.
  • Manage the coordination of plans and estimates associated with site augmentation or modifications to customer requirements and corporate standards
  • Review and determine applicable standards and methods for maintainability, serviceability cleanability and layout
  • Interface with all outside equipment suppliers and contractors as required to assure that all requirements are being met
  • Liaison with local authorities for electrical and statutory compliance.
  • Drive energy initiatives to reduce costs. Support environment initiatives per management guidelines.

Additional Description

  • Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
  • Knowledge:
  • Knowledge and understanding of complex building systems and infrastructure in an office, manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality management systems & standards preferred.
  • Demonstrated professional technical interest & expertise in building/infrastructure management and business systems
  • Skills:
  • Analytical skills sufficient for the evaluation and resolution of problems while working independently
  • Ability to manage projects within budget and across multiple suppliers or contractors
  • Willingness to interact cross functionally and ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization
  • Experience
  • Proven experience (3-5years) in providing engineering expertise with electro mechanical maintenance management, retrofit projects, power distributions and maintenance contracts.
  • Proven experience in preparation of specifications and the tendering for commercial contract services highly desirable
  • Education / Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Membership or eligible to be member of the Institute of Engineers or Equivalent.
  • Relevant post graduate qualification highly regarded
