This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Detroit, Michigan, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.

General Motors is seeking a seasoned Financial Communications professional to proactively tell the company's growth story, expand its investor base, and strengthen the company's reputation with the business and financial community.
What You'll Do
This team works closely with the CEO, CFO, and Investor Relations to plan quarterly earnings announcements and investor conferences. In addition, the team leads internal and external communications for quarterly sales, the annual shareholders meeting and proxy filing, corporate finance, M&A, corporate economics, corporate compliance, the company's venture capital team, GM Defense, and the GM credit card portfolio.
The successful candidate will work in all these areas and be directly responsible for sales reporting and analysis, internal communications for the CFO and Finance organization, the annual meeting and other projects as assigned.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Able to apply strong business acumen and complex problem-solving techniques to achieve key functional objectives via traditional, social and digital media
- Experience developing new or significantly improved policies, methods, and systems to improve team effectiveness
- Comfortable working independently and with broad latitude in a complex environment
- Strong writing and storytelling, including experience as a spokesperson and subject matter expert
- 10+ years of professional experience in corporate and/or financial communications, or Investor Relations
- A company vehicle will be provided for this role with successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report review.
- Ability to travel 5-10 times per year to Detroit, Michigan and New York City, New York.

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.
- The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $172,100. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
