Description
Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, Michigan 3-5 times per week, at minimum.
The Role
The Program Quality Manager (PQM) is a member of the Program Team and is required to collaborate with many cross functional areas (Engineering, Design, SQE, Validation, Manufacturing, CVO, etc) to facilitate and enable program decisions regarding vehicle content, new technology implementation and issue countermeasures that align with customer expectations. The PQM is responsible for developing Vehicle Program Quality Plans which include all metrics of the Voice of Customer (VOC), Initial and Long-Term Quality, and Design Quality.

A considerable amount of creativity and initiative are involved, as well as a high level of independent judgment and autonomy.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Chief Engineer and Program Team leaders to drive the appropriate priorities and discipline in the organization to ensure Quality targets can be achieved
- Actively participate and represent Voice of Customer and Quality at the Program Team meetings (PET, VAPIR, CPIT, Dev-Val, etc)
- Enable data driven program decisions by providing customer data analyses
- Utilize Program Profile, Market Research, and Quality data to develop program targets and strategies to achieve program balance.
- Collaborate with AVD Engineering and Program Quality team members to verify critical Quality characteristics are achieving program goals.
- Lead and support risk assessments for new content and drive action plans for risk mitigation to meet Quality targets and Customer Expectations.
- Follow standardized work as provided in the Global Program Quality Plan
- Lead Program Quality and Readiness Reviews (PQRR's) to verify that critical Quality and Readiness deliverables meet the customer's requirements and that they are completed on time with integrity; assure there is a high level of awareness of the risk potential of non-green deliverables and provide guidance on proceed or not proceed decisions.
- Develop and Manage the Captured Test Fleet (CTF) and lead a cross functional team to quickly address issues identified in the CTF
- Develop plans and support execution of On Road Vehicle Testing (ORVT)

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelors degree
- 4 years of related experience
- Knowledge of Product Engineering and Manufacturing processes
- High level of ability to work independently and create innovative solutions.
- Demonstrate analytical ability and problem-solving capability.
- Demonstrated high level of oral and written communication skills
- Good understanding of Variation Reduction, Quality Procedures, etc.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Must be able to Travel on an as needed basis, especially during launch phase.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Bachelors in Engineering
- Cross-functional experience such as Engineering, Manufacturing and Vehicle Development
- New vehicle launch experience (Manufacturing or Product Development)
- DFSS Black Belt / Red X Journeyman certification
- Master's degree
