Onsite -This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lockport, New York, on a full-time basis.
The Role
The Controls Engineer (Off Shift) is an Individual contributor with recognized expertise responsible for troubleshooting, problem solving and continuous improvement on manufacturing equipment throughout the plant.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Work cross-functionally with diverse teams throughout the plant to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Identify and document system vulnerabilities, and develop inclusive mitigation action plans; track corrective actions to ensure accountability.
- Design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to promote component reuse and consistency with best practices.
- Create and implement tests to efficiently identify opportunities for design improvements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Additional Description
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
- Experience in PLC and HMI programming
- Ability to work off shift on a full time basis
- Ability to work OT as needed
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical/control systems and the ability to apply these concepts within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of servo motors, motion control and drives
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical concepts involving machine designs, process requirements involved in the manufacturing process
- Ability to use computer, interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and learn new systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- 3+ years of demonstrated technical knowledge of electrical/control systems and ability to apply these concepts within a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience in Control Architectures:
- PLC: Allen Bradley
- Robotics: Fanuc / ABB
- Vision: Cognex / Keyence - Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Knowledge of high voltage power distribution

Compensation
- The expected base compensation for this role is : $76,100.00 - $121,600.00 USD Annual. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
