Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, Michigan three times per week, at minimum.
The Role
This is a dynamic, fast-paced position with one of the most recognized global brands in the automotive industry. In this role, the candidate will assist with planning, developing, and implementing strategic plans and media relations to promote Chevrolet's passenger car, crossover, and performance vehicle lineup, in addition to supporting Chevrolet motorsports and brand business initiatives. This position requires candidates who want to be part of a dynamic team that focuses on strategic planning, creative storytelling, audience-based experience development and execution, and media relations. The selected candidate will work daily with marketing, engineering, design, cross-functional communications teams and brand and motorsports leadership to drive brand momentum.

What You'll Do
- Assist in informing multi-year strategic communication plan for Chevrolet's passenger car, crossover, and performance vehicle portfolio, including key product updates, model refreshes and new product launches.
- Work across the business to create opportunities and ideas that drive extensive storytelling with various media and content creators across all channels.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vehicle engineering, marketing, design, and communications teams.
- Identify and support both hard news and creative storytelling and program opportunities to increase brand exposure to new audiences.
- Grow and challenge existing communications tactics to stay current with how audiences consume information, particularly working with team members to expand work on current and new social media platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) and grow influencer audiences.
- Assist in storytelling activations around the business performance of the Chevrolet brand.
- Coordinate all creative storytelling for both internal and external audiences focused on product and brand priorities.
- Manage and fulfill media requests as well as the media fleet.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelors in communications or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or marketing fields
- Professional experience working with new, emerging social media and platforms (e.g., Instagram/Reels, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, etc.)
- Tech-Smart - Comfortable with technology. Excited and eager for the future of transportation.
- Curious - Media relations work, new media and consumer behavior understanding involves digging into the issues that are important to our customers.
- Creative - Can develop a compelling story and unique ways to tell product and brand stories to our target audiences.
- Cool Under Pressure - OK with change and ambiguity. Thinks quickly and on-the-fly. Dusts off, gets back up and right back at it. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can be relied on in a crisis.
- Analytical mindset - Ability to leverage data and research to drive decision and prioritization around storytelling, including strong product knowledge for GM and competitive vehicles.
- Collaborative - Works well with others across the enterprise and takes diverse perspectives into consideration.
- Leadership - Able to provide frank counsel and direction to colleagues, subject matter experts and other leaders on strategy, messaging, and crisis management.
- Storytelling-Savvy - Can develop a compelling story and narrative, which our customers can appreciate and relate to.
- Ability to travel 20% of the time within the United States
