Work Arrangement:

  • This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum.

The Business Intelligence Data Analyst supports critical business operations and decision-making through creation of high quality, user-friendly, and automated dashboards, leverages data modeling and analysis techniques to create new organizational capabilities, and supports production operations through data discovery for risk mitigation and business action. A successful Business Intelligence Data Analyst demonstrates customer focus, a drive for results, and ease with ambiguous project requests and definitions; influences change, naturally accepts ownership for project deliverables, explores opportunities to add value to job responsibilities, and continues to develop critical skills and technical expertise. Projects will span across all time horizons, from early in VDP through end of production and often require integration of data across multiple functions, including Engineering, Program Management, Planning, Forecasting, Sales, and Manufacturing.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT, and analytics community to develop strategy, craft requirements, and deliver data analytics, dashboards, reports, and key performance metrics from proof of concept through production solution.
  • Analyze and create meaningful insight for business use and decisions, leveraging large amounts of data from structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Lead and support cross-functional innovation projects and integrated business solutions to enhance business stakeholder capabilities and efficiencies.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to customer requests related to functionality, processes, and data in support of key functional systems and initiatives.
  • Recommend, create, deploy, and maintain types of reporting analytics and procedures to apply to meet stated business objectives.

This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 2+ years relevant post-graduate work experience as a business intelligence analyst, data analyst, Supply Chain/Logistics analyst or related experience.
  • Experience with testing/implementing reporting strategies
  • Excellent knowledge of and demonstrated experience with SQL
  • Self-starter with the ability to influence others, working in teams and independently with customers, cohorts, and stakeholders across many different physical locations.
  • Ability to define and propose innovative solutions to business problems and projects that may begin with ambiguous requirements and requests.
  • Experience with Power BI (Required)
  • Effective time management skills to balance workload across multiple simultaneous projects and meet deadlines proactively and independently.
  • Practical knowledge of basic statistical and mathematical tools for problem solving and data analysis.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple, visual terms suitable to a wide cross-section of audiences (data storytelling).
  • Proactive and effective project management and communication skills to provide project status, progress on deliverables and risks/issues to stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in business/data analytics, engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Computer science or related field.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Supply Chain/Logistics/Purchasing experience
  • Experience using Cognos Framework, Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Jira, Service Now
  • Experience with Python, or VBA coding at a minimum
  • Technical proficiency working with analytic platforms (such as Tableau, Cognos, KNIME Data Analytics Platform), databases or reporting tools.
  • Experience with databases and data warehousing platforms (knowledge in Databricks preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of mathematical methodologies and tools for advanced analytics including optimization algorithms, regressions, data correlation and predictive techniques
