This is hybrid role: This position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basis
Core responsibilities of the Assistant Product Planner are:
- Developing segment strategies and business initiatives to increase profit and market share
- Coordinating program execution for multiple products, leading cross functional teams (RET).
Assignments are of a complex nature involving a significant degree of collaborative work and communication with other functional areas of the business.
Main activities are:
- Communicate with program teams globally to represent Mexico and GMCC market perspective.
- Develop business and product strategies.
- Define strategy for future products (Portfolio Role, Content & Positioning)
- Create and support AFS (Approval for Study), NoD (notice of Decision)
- Support in product-related execution issues for products already in the market
- Lead cross functional teams (Regional Executional Teams and Pilots vehicles) and administrate meetings (Agendas and minutes)
- Develop program gate reviews and report program status and risks to senior leadership.
- Manage program content (Product Program Content)
- Coordinate & support planning volumes forecast.
- Lead the development of content changes for Annual Programs, Midcycle and Major Programs
- Establishes accurate Program timings & track timing status through the Master DOT process.
- Manage CR/DN's (Change Request / Decision Notice)

- GLOBAL Automotive Industry (Key Players, Segments, Forecasts)

- Manufacturing process - Desirable
- Product development (content wise) - Desirable
Skills:
- Team coordination : Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time, ensuring collaboration and accountability across departments
- Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective presentations and storytelling
- Analytical skills : Proficiency in data analysis to track segment dynamics and competitors' offer vs. GM product
- Project management : Ability to manage timelines and resources to achieve desired results on time
- Software proficiency : Advanced Microsoft Excel (required) and Power BI (desirable)
Experience/Education:
- Preferred degree in Engineering, Marketing, Finance or Business
- Work experience and training which provides comprehensive knowledge of the auto industry and planning processes is necessary.
- 1-3 years of experience in the Automotive industry
- Languages: English Fluent (oral and written)
