Work Arrangement:

Hybrid : This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Oshawa Elevation Center/ Markham Elevation Center, 3 times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business].

The Role:

The Marketing Data Insight Specialist will assist the Brand Marketing teams with identifying key trends and data insights to assist with process improvements and help them make informed decisions to optimize marketing and retail strategies. This position is a true cross functional learning opportunity. An analytic skill set is required for this position to assist with outlining common themes with multiple data sets.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Planning Process Improvement and Automation:

  • Identify, develop and implement automated solutions to streamline incentives planning
  • Integrate competitor data into the retail planning process to enhance strategic decision-making
  • Develop machine learning based algorithms to predict incentive/sales/inventory trends

Marketing Telemetry Data and Segment Assessments Analytics:

  • Analyze marketing data from various sources (internal and external) to extract meaningful insights and provide actionable recommendations to develop pricing, incentives and marketing strategies
  • Develop and maintain marketing dashboards and reports to understand different customer segments and their behaviors

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's (2nd, 3rd, or 4th year) or Master's degree in the following areas: Mathematics, Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering
  • Eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada and for 12-month term (3 consecutive semesters)
  • Highly developed analytical skills in order to contribute in the investigations and business decisions
  • Ability to work independently, navigate multiple systems and develop solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming languages (Python, R, etc..)
  • Database and reporting skills (Power BI, SQL, etc..)
  • Completed courses in statistics and/or machine learning

  • Communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
  • High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self-directed
  • Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability and trust
  • Consistently demonstrates innovative thinking that is customer-centric
  • Excellent project management skills and the proven track record to manage numerous projects at any given time
  • Possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Fundamental digital literacy including advanced knowledge of Microsoft products with emphasis on Excel, Powerpoint, and Power BI
