Serve as a senior thought leader as the lead of a Center of Excellence for GDIT and our customers regarding software-based technology platforms and software development centered modernization. Help grow our software-oriented portfolio of work and drive increased value and cost efficiencies to Agency missions.

HOW A TECHNOLOGY VICE PRESIDENT, SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Engage GDIT Federal and State & Local customers around strategies and solutions to assist them with modernizing their mission applications, make more strategic use of agency data and related software delivery capabilities.
  • Lead and contribute to the development of market-leading software delivery and modernization offerings.
  • Contribute to opportunity identification, win strategies, consultative selling engagements, and solutions and proposals for GDIT’s most strategic pursuits.
  • Collaborate with GDIT Software Development Alliance partners to create significant mutual value for the partner and the company.
  • Represent GDIT at industry and customer events and in marketing and media.
  • Educate and inform senior GDIT leaders of market and customer trends and strategic opportunities that can benefit agency use of data and existing tools and capabilities.
  • Lead a Center of Excellence engaged across GDIT’s business development and program portfolios.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Required Experience: 10+ years of software development or related experience
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Expertise in designing and implementing modern software architectures in Cloud and on-premises deployments
    • Expertise in legacy software modernization & migration to the Cloud
    • Expertise in Agile & DevSecOps-based delivery
    • Expertise in advanced automation, including the use of traditional/generative AI, to reduce cost and speed-to-delivery of software products
    • Expertise in CX/UX principles and practices
    • Expertise in diverse set of market-leading software development and other technology platforms & tools and Cloud-native services
    • Expertise in technical writing, presentation writing, and proposal development
    • Expertise in consultative selling
    • Experience successfully leading and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
    • Experience engaging with Sr. government officials and C-level executives
  • Location: This is a hybrid position working at our GDIT facility in Falls Church, VA. Must be comfortable working onsite 3 days a week.
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain Secret clearance or higher
  • US Citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $246,500 - $333,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
